Clause 11.5 of IEEE 1547.2-2023 describes a periodic test program that the integrator or manufacturer proposes and the AGIR or the Area EPS operator accepts, preventive or condition-based rather than run to failure, documented in an inspection and test plan that lists each test with its procedure, frequency, acceptance criteria and evidence; it cautions that acceptance values set at commissioning can be too severe for equipment in service. Clause 11.5.3 asks that changes to settings, software, hardware and configuration be submitted to the Area EPS operator before they are made.
